Grayson Co, TX GenWeb site has list of their cemeteries, post a query on that site, too. But the cemetery index is in the archived segment of GenWeb Project:

Sherman Pub Lib has a nice genealogy collection and are probably used to genealogy questions. Find out what newspaper was being read in the area in 1882. See if they have copies for that date, or do they know who does? If all else fails, Universtiy of TX in Austin has largest collection of TX newspapers. They do not do research, but if you have exact date they will do lookup, and make copies if they find something. There is a nominal charge for the service. Since the Betts both died on the same day, I'm willing to bet there's something in a newspaper about it.
