I have been able to copy extensively from that book, as well as "Ancestors and Descendants, Grayson County Texas".
My library has absolutely nothing for Cooke County Texas (where my mother's family is from), so I wasn't expecting much more for Grayson County either!
Imagine my delight to discover 4 beautiful, BIG, hardbound books, about Grayson Co. And then, to discover entries about my various family members!! I almost got ousted from the library because of the whooping and hollaring I was doing!!

That was really the beginning of my research into my paternal lines, and I was able to contact some of the contributors mentioned in the book, and learn even more! Especially for the WILSON and DAVIS line!

But, the STROUD and WALLIS / WALLACE lines are at a dead-end right now!

I can't stress enough to any and all researchers reading this, if you are interested in families from GRAYSON COUNTY TEXAS, check out these well-done and informative books!!
I've seen many books done by various historical societies from other areas, but these will make you proud to be connected to Grayson County TX! They are simply full of information, and wonderful photos!

And Joan, as I said in my previous post, if you run across anything else about STROUD or Hetty Ferris (WALLACE /WALLIS) DAVIS, please let me know!
I know from reading your other posts that you are an active and deliberate researcher, and I will welcome any help you can give!

btw...I agree about the surnames in caps!! I want them to JUMP OUT at me when I'm reading my 30th or 40th post for the night!!

Thanks again, Kay
