Joan,
That certainly is my Grandfather! He was the son of Jackson Furman WILSON MD, and Martha Elizabeth STROUD. I have quite a bit of information on my WILSON side, but not much on Mattie's!

I know she was the daughter of Fletcher Harris STROUD (b 1835 Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co VA to Thomas B. STROUD) and Elizabeth Ann DAVIS (b 1831 Howe,Grayson Co TX to William Carroll DAVIS and "Hetty Ferris WALLACE")

I put that in quotes, simply because I've found so many spelling variants for her name that I'm not certain which is right!)

I've found quite a bit of information for the Davis side, but almost nothing for Fletcher H. STROUD and Hetty F. Wallace DAVIS!

Should you ever run across anything about either STROUD or DAVIS, I would love to see it!

Thank you, Kay Balsley
