DAVID JONES 1812-1886 MO / ARK / TX

Seeking information about David Jones b. 1812 d.1886 buried at Paradise Point, Grayson Co, TX. He was a Peter's Colony settler in Fannin County in 1848 along with his brother, George Washington Jones.

In 1832 he married (1st) Elizabeth Flood in Madison County, MO. They had: Oliver, George Washington, Elvina who married Logan McDonald, Simon, and Savannah who was both a Linder and a Ross.

In 1848 he married Melvenia Almira Van Slyke (also spelled Elvina, Elvira, and Van Slack). They had: David Andrew who married Elizabeth Rozelle, Francis Marion who married Mary Gabbert, John O., Almedia who married Thomas S. Williams, Oleva Jane who married Henry Schrader, and William Harvey who married Rebecca Gabbert.

David then married Eliza Fintton, who may have been my gr-gr-grandmother. She always went by Anna or Annie, so we don't know if this was another marriage or is her name was perhaps Elizabeth (Eliza) Ann. We are still searching for her maiden name. Family thinks it may have been Garner. They had the following children: Fannie who married Charles "Bud" Neeley, Laura who married Carlton Clyde Brewer (my gr-grandparents), and Benjamin Franklin who married Lillie Payne. Many of the children married and settled in TX counties.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
