I see only a mention of the surname MARLIN in "The History of Grayson County Texas" by the Grayson County Frontier Villiage. In a biographical sketch on Maj. Samuel A. Blaine, it states he married Mary Luesa (sic) MARLIN, dau of John MARLIN. It doesn't say when they married, but does say Maj. Blaine was b 1816, and it states that Mary Luesa Blaine d about 1854, the Major remarried. The sketch was submitted by John L. Blaine. I suggest you post a query on the Grayson Co, TX GenWeb site, too. Be sure to include names, dates and locations in your query (approximate dates will help, if you do not have exact dates).
