It always amazes me to get a reply to a 7 year old post! Thanks! I don't have the name of Charity listed. Could you give some more info on her, please? The children I have for Joshua RYON & Martha Ann "Patsy" MADDRA are: Nancy, Sarah A., Martha E., Joshua Jackson, Lutetia, John W., Lucinda J., James L., and Ersuline "Jennie D." Do you have those also?
Over the years I somehow have lost (unless it's "lost" in papers) the source of the name Jewel W. ANGELINE for the mother of Joshua RYON and his sister, Angeline RYON (my 3rd great grandmother). I have never seen Frances. Where did you find Frances? Have you been in touch with Ryon Hood, a descendant of Joshua Jackson RYON?
I've done some research off and on since the post you replied to but I've been working on other lines and haven't done anything further yet with my JAMES/RYON line. You asked how sure am I about Jewell W. ANGELINE -- I'm not 100% sure -- I've had that name for a long time and have never seen another until you mentioned Frances. Could William RYON have had more than one wife? I need to go through massive amounts of paper and just haven't had the time to do it. Feel free to contact me by private email.
