Very sorry about being so long in getting a reply posted to you, health problems.
The parents of James William Evans were Ellison "Ellis" and Sarah Frances "Fannie" (FLOWERS) Evans. Ellis was born ca 1814 in Davidson Co. TN. Moved to Hickman Co. KY in 1841 where he married ca 1868 either in Hickman or Graves Co. KY to Sarah "Fannie" Flowers. This was Ellis' first marriage, he was 34 years older than Sarah "Fannie". They had Nancy, born ca. 1869 KY. died unknown in Grayson Co. TX. married a Mr. Mays. Sarah Christina "Tina" born 1871 died 10 Dec 1910 in Grayson Co. TX. Married Stewart M. Scott, he was and untertaker in Grayson Co. TX.
James William was their only son and last child, he was born 12 Feb 1874 in Graves Co. KY.
I can not find Ellis and Sarah "Fannie" Evans from the time of James William's birth in 1874 to 1879 when Ellis shows up in Grayson Co. TX. buying land south of Sherman.
Ellis died between 1894 and 1896. He is buried in Sherman.
Ellison "Ellis" Evans parents were:
William Evans Sr. born 14 June 1769 in VA. died 11 June 1860 Hickman Co. Ky.
Nancy (JOSLIN) Evans, born 22 June 1770 VA./S.C. died 7 May 1858 in Hickman Co. Ky.
James William Evans was my father. I am his last child by his 2nd wife, Addis Mae GILLEY.
