Yes, That is where I got the name uvalde Burns, but I cannot find him on any census or anywhere else. I do know that Joe Burns was with the post office department, probably a mail carrier, if he was not Uvalde Burns, which I suspect. I do know that Joe Burns was in Sherman in 1879, when his son William Newton was born. William Newtons youngest child age 75 says he knows that his grandfather worked for the post office, but does not know if he is Uvalde, just Joe. I do not know how long he worked for the post office or in what capacity. If anyone can tell me if these two men were in fact the same, or any info on eighter of them , I sure would appreciate it.
