Allen J. Bradley, Texas Ranger

Looking for information on my great grandfather, Allen J. Bradley, who was a Texas Ranger in Gonzales County in the general timeframe of 1880. He shot two men related to a horse sale and had to hide out in the woods for some time before changing his name to Joseph Frank Wilson and moving to Pratt, Kansas area. He may have been a Ranger with one of his brothers, Benjamin Franklin Bradley. Whether he (Allen) was on the right or wrong side of the event is unknown to me from sketchy family histories. I would assume, as a Ranger, he probably just tangled with the wrong family or "gang."

Thank you
