Mel... This is supposed to be the family of Samuel Savage Cobb. Since this data is later than you are seeking the Abraham could have left home at this time. My interest is in Samual Savage Cobb, Jr. and his marriage to Jean Christian Johnson. Their daughter (Annie Laurie) married Fred Scheske, Sr. My information came from "The History of Gonzales County" and some census records. Therefore, there's room for a lot of improvement. It isn't a direct line for me but I'm hoping that some further information will clarify some data for direct line individuals. Hope that some of this helps and if I'm missing an Abraham in here...
