Hi Harriet,
William Walker owned land in NC On Yadkin River on Rowan Co. line. Melba just replied to me that his wife Sarah Lambert was a sister to James Lambert.
William Walker served for both NC and SC in Rev. War.
Died 24-April-1822 in Ogelethorpe Co., Ga.
Sarah Lambert Walker died 1-April-1851 in Oglethorpe Co., Ga.
William and Sarah Lambert Walker's daughter married Etheldred Sorrell; son of George Sorrell. George Sorrell b. ca 1742 fought in Rev. War. Appears in NC; owning land in Franklin and Bute Counties. He was awarded land grant 15-Jan-1785 in Wilkes Co., Ga. George Sorrell was married to Elizasbeth Williams d/o Browning Williams.
George Sorell died in Ga. Will probated 1-April-1803 in Greene Co., Ga. Names one daughter in will as "Jane Griffin".
