Hi Melba,
Do you know who the wives of your Griffin sons were? Or info on who the Griffin family was kin to in NC?
My gg.grandfather, David Franklin Webb, was born 23-Oct.-1850 in Rowan Co., NC. In 1850 & 2860, he was in Rowan Co. in his father's home.
I don't know where we lived in 1880; haven't found him in any cencus, but in 1881 he married a Sorrell that lived in Belmont, Gonzales Co., Tx.
I can not make an association of his family to anyone that was in the area. I know that he had to have come to the area for some reason! David had a sister named Margaret E. (Elvira) Webb that was born in 1848. Any wifes named Margaret? :-)
Thanks!
Robin
