Sorry guys, I did get your e-mail. My son and I got the flu and I wanted to go through all my notes (such as they are)to look for anything that might be of help to you. Please excuse my pencil format as I have not yet gotten things on the computer. There are still many places to look and it seems not enough time.
Interesting that there is a Juan Vasquez and a female Montes who were baptismal sponsors for my Great-grandfather's son from his second marriage. My great-grandfather's name being Refugio Vasquez and his son's name also Refugio Vasquez that he had with Maria Arredondo. Refugio Vasquez "2", son of Refugio Vasquez and Maria Arredondo was baptised Aug. 1912 and he was about one month old at the time of the baptism. My cousin, Refugio "2"'s daughter, said that there was a Juan Vasquez and his wife in the 1910 census for Goliad County living in the same general area with a son.
Her father Refugio Vasquez "2" she believes had a tio Juan. Whether he is a relation of your father will take some further investigation.
I am having some difficulty using my computer to access the census records for Goliad County online. Will try again.
Will keep in touch.
