Daniel Rouse born 1785 in Germany and died after 1850 in Goliad, Tx. Records indicate he was married before(Unknown) and then married Mary Elisabeth Keener. She was born 1792 in Germany and died after 1850 in Goliad, TX. They were married in Ohio or Blakely, Pa. Their children were Hannah, Susannah, Daniel Jr., Clinton, Harvey, and Freedom. Susannah was my ggrandmother and married Charles Pinkney Scott. She is buried at Six Mile Cemetery in Llano County, Llano, Tx. I do think they came from N. or S. Carolina possibly to Florida and over to Texas into Goliad, Tx. If you have any records of Rouse in Carolina, I would like to have a record. It does seem possible that your family knew them but none of the names you mentioned sound familiar to me. Maybe they traveled together as many families did...or maybe if he married before there was a connection there. Good to hear from you as we all can help each other with a link to the past.
