That's interesting. I know Riverdale existed at the time you mentioned. Riverdale was bordered by the Pettus and Irby ranches; I am a descendant of R.F. Irby who founded the ranch in 1914. The store stood until about 1963 and was owned by the John Gantt family.
There was a cotton gin at Riverdale as well and the remnants of it can still be seen.
Berclair, I believe, has always been a separate town with a larger and more stable population. Anymore info on Riverdale would be appreciated.
