I looked up Woodburn and it's in Marion Co, OR and county seat is Salem. I figured there had to be something in that area so went to the FamilySearch site and looked for a Family History Center for you. Looks like it has limited hours, so I would call first to make sure about the hours. I would think there would be a genealogy society in your neck of the woods, too. So ask around, someone at the FHC should be able to tell you. Find out if anyone is giving lessons. Also, there may be a FHC in a town nearby with open more hours.

Woodburn Oregon
1000 Country Club Rd
Woodburn, Marion, Oregon, United States
Phone: 503-981-4731
Hours: T 9am-1pm; Th by appointment only; Sat 1pm-5pm, Closed the first Saturday of every month.

Note: These are not mailing addresses. Due to limited staff, Family History Centers are unable to respond to mail inquiries.

I did a look for Salem, don't know how far you are from there, but two more FHCs located in Salem:

Salem Oregon
4550 Lone Oak Rd SE
Salem, Marion, Oregon, United States
Phone: 503-378-0383
Hours: Sunday 4pm-7pm; T,Th 9am-9pm; W 6pm-9pm (except last W of each month)
Closed: Monday, Friday, Saturday
Attention: The Family History Center is located at the blue door behind the satelite dish at the SE corner of the building.

Salem Oregon East
862 45th St NE
Salem, Marion, Oregon, United States
Phone: 503-371-0453
Hours: Tu 9am-4pm; Wed 2pm-9pm; Fri 9am-2pm; Sat 9am-1pm
Closed: 1st Sat of each month

You can go to the FamilySearch site and view videos they offer. Always good, but working with live people also helpful because you can ask questions.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
