There is a cemetery named La Marque [note space between La and Marque] On Galveston Co, TX, GenWeb site -- http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~txgalves/ -- you can find location -- LA MARQUE CEMETERY – Between Apricot and Stubbs Sts on Oak St. – LaMarque, TX, behind Paul’s Union Church.
Check RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site -- http://www.raogk.org/faq-requesters.htm -- A couple of volunteers listed for Galveston Co, TX, one specifically says "Gravestone pictures. All Galveston County cemeteries." So that person would possibly check for your Chisum grave and take photos, too. You might also ask them to check for who is buried next to him while they're out there. Location says "behind" Paul’s Union Church. Ask if that cemetery is connected with that church you might want to follow up, see if the Chisum family were, or still are, members of that church.
