If you haven't found the information you wanted, you might try RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site. There is a volunteer listed who will record lookups in Galveston Co, TX.

I checked the Galveston Co, TX GenWeb site. They have their county deaths listed and I do not see a Jack Hart on their list, nor a Hart of any given name that died in 1955. Are you sure of your date, or location?
