I was searching for an Oliver Patton. (No relation)
The Erath Co., Texas 1900 Census had S. Just initial as (head) born 1862 in Tx. Father Tn. Mo. Tx., Ida R. born Sept. 1872 in Tex. Father Ga. Mother Al.,(all children born in Texas. Floyd son May 1893, Ruthie dau. May 1895, Olliver 189*. I suppose this is the Olliver I was searching for. I have several pictures of him in uniform. My mother had them. She was born in 1897, so I suppose his birth was same or before.
Please let me know if this helps and what happened to Oliver if it is the same family. City was probably Thurber
Thurber is a ghoast town now, although it has a couple of real nice places to eat. a new large museum, and hunting lodge. It has a large brick smoke stack (former coal mining town.)Thurber was the first place to have electricity.
