My mother is Catherine Comeaux b 12-30-1933 in Port Bolivar, Galveston County. William and Nancy also had several other children, one of whom was Monroe Dailey b 1878 Galveston county d 1944 High Island Monroe maried Mary Ella Andres b 1888 d 1924 their daughter Nola Dailey b 1878, Galveston County d 1944 High Island, married Dick (probably Richard) Berwick They have a daughter who still lives here, Thelma Black. I know that Nancy had a sister Laura Palestine "Aunt Pal" Robertson Meyning b 1870 d 1973. She lived next door to me when I was growing up. She was 103 when she died, very hard of hearing and almost blind, but her mind was pretty clear. In the 1880 Census for Galveston County it shows Pal living with her parents cathrine and FM , but I have seen elsewhere that his name was Samuel Milton Robertson. b about 1835 in Tenn. All of the above people with the exception of my grandfather Robert Johnson are buried here in High Island. There are still Dailey's and Berwick's living here and lots of their descendants. My neighbor's grandmother was Dorothy Berwick George b 8-9-1912 d 12-2-1990, Dick's sister. They also had a brother that died young, Carl I think and 2 more sisters, Ruby Vance and Jessie Kane b 7-26-1907 d 5-1975 (husband Barney b 4-3-1896 d 3-1972). I know that Dorothy is buried here and I think Ruby and Jessie as well. I don't really know a lot of the history, but I understand a lady who lives here in High Island, Betty Barrow has lots of the information for families from this area.
