SEEL, WINDMEYER, FUNK, DIRKS (or KIKS ?) of Germany and Texas

I am looking for further information on the family of Sophie SEEL FUNK. I am almost certain that she was born in Munich. She immigrated to the U.S. and arrived in Galveston in 1859 with her sister, Mary Anne SEEL, (who later married William WINDMEYER), and brother, Louis SEEL, (who later married Regina DIRKS). Sophie SEEL was married to Joseph FUNK on June 1, 1861 at St. Joseph's Church in Galveston, Texas. She had at least four children by the names of Caroline (b. abt. 1862), Mary Sophia "Sophie" (b. btwn. April and June 1864 and died on June 1, 1865), Wilhelmina (b. abt. 1868), and Josephina (b. abt. 1881), all of whom where christened in either Galveston or Houston.

After that, however, the Diocese of Galveston/Houston have no further records of any of them.

If you think you may have further information and/or a connection to this family or the SEEL, DIRKS and/or WINDMEYER families, please get in touch!
