Joseph Simons, my gg grandfather, was originally from the Mt. Vernon/Franklin county area of Texas, but left his original family and began a new family in this area. He apparently had two children: James Howard Simons and Cherrie Nell Simons. Any information would be very much appreciated, as I have nothing to go on.
