The 1920 census Freestone Co, TX is rather scrambled, Cartwright is spelled Cartwrite, Julia is listed as mother to J.M. Knight and I believe they're siblings, only 10 years difference in their ages, and at first I wasn't sure who Sarah Carson was the mother to, but earlier census puts it together.

Knight, J.M., h, 45, wid, b TN, TN, TN
" Horace son, 15, b TX
Cartwrite, Julia, "Mother" 55, wid, b TN, TN, TN
" Henry, hd, 52, married, b AL, AL, AL
Carson, Sarah "mother" wd, b AL, AL, AL

1880 census Lauderdale Co, AL:

Carson, James, 61, hd, b TN, SC, SC
" Sarah, 38, wf, b AL, SC, SC
Cartwright, Henry, 16, son, b AL
" Lucuta, 5, dau, b AL
Looks like second marriage for Sarah, and I wonder if the daughter Lucuta isn't a Carson and daughter of James and Sarah. James has children from preious marriage, one is living right next door with his wife and chiildren.

By 1930 in Anderson Co, TX, William H. Cartwright has a second younger wife, and three stepchildren from her two previous marriages and his mother Sarah Carson, 86.

TX Dth Idx thru 1976, hand written record and I think the surname should be Carson:

name: Sarah Corsan
death date: 08 Feb 1935
death place: Anderson Co, Texas
gender: Female
race: W
death age: 93 years
estimated birth date:
birth date: 16 Jan 1842
birthplace: Ala
marital status: Widowed
spouse's name:
father's name:
father's birthplace:
mother's name:
mother's birthplace:
occupation: H K
place of residence: Frankston, Tex
cemetery: Hopewell
burial place:
burial date: 10 Feb 1935

film number: 2116253
