Vernon. In it, it doesn't mention a first name, but it talks about the "Brooks Pool-site of many a baptismal service in the early days of Mt. Vernon for the churches of the town." If you suspect your Ben was a preacher, makes sense he might have that pool. Email me and I'll send you a scan of the book article.
