The Family History Library in Salt Lake City has land records for Fort Bend Co, TX on microfilm. The county was formed in 1837 and apparently they have the records back that early.

Do you live near a Family History Center? If so, you can order out film from SLC to your local FHC. The first roll of film is an index from 1837 to 1897. If you find Andrew, or is wife on there you'll know the time frame of when the land was bought or sold and you then can order the film that covers that time period.

There are several people on Rootsweb's WorldConnect site working on this family, but only one has posted any children for Andrew and Jane, and that is a daughter named Clarrisa. You might want to get in touch with that submitter and exchanage information.

Not my family -- Happy Hunting (^_^)
