Does anyone have a copy of the 285 page book printed 1969 by Bailey Phelps "They Loved the Land" (original edition). I have 103 page supplement printed in aybe 1969 also. I have given up on trying to find one to buy; would drive to Crowell to read and or photocopy a few pages from first one. Live in Weatherford.

my grandfather John James Stoker was County Judge in Foard Co 1896-1899. Then moved to Weatherford. I am retired Judge also. My grandparens, John James Stoker and wife Sarah/Sallie Crook Stoker lived in the country somewhere from 1890 to 1900.
Other kin, names of interest are Jobe, Mears, Hysinger, Reinhardt, Fish, Hale, LeFevre (that's a broad list, but I am hoping to find someone on internet to talk to. I am not selling anything; just looking up family history and area history.
Also I would love to find out where my grandparents (J.J. and Sarah or Sallie Crook Stoker) lived (somewhere in rural part) My mother was born there; also several aunts). My aunt Clara and Sula burned the house down accidentally before they moved to Weatherford; Clara was teaching Sula how to cook while their parents had gone to town.
And, in case anybody reads this .. Jim Hysinger says there is a statue of Margaret ...... near town of Margaret. Who is that statue of..?? Thanks.
thanks for any help
Jim Mullin, Weatherford Tx (I/we are in phone book).
