OLD STORY OF JESSE JAMES

I was told by a Mr.,CHOATE of JOHNSON CO.,TX.,he grew up in FOARD COUNTY,Mr,CHOATE,told a story of and old man that wore a PRINCE ALBERT COAT,and was missing the first joint of his left index finger,had a beard and lived out near the PEASE RIVER[south and east of the river]Mr.CHOATE,swore this old man was JESSE JAMES,,,I just wonder if anyone else
in FOARD COUNTY has ever heard this story.
My Greatgrandfather,ROBERT HARVEY HITE,is buried in the old FOARD[CROWELL]CEM,,,ROBERT H.HITE and family lived west of the CROWELL to QUAHNA hiway near the river..My greatgrandfather was related to JESSE,and stayed with the JAMESES,after he was discharged from the FRONTIER SERVICE at FT.LEAVENWORTH ,KS 1865,,ANY INFO GREATLY ACCEPTED
