Swedonia Cemetery Graves

Do you live anywhere Swedonia Cemetery in Fisher County? I am desperately looking for a volunteer to go to Swedonia and take a picture of the gravestones for James J (Jim Jake) and Luisa/Louisa Steele.

We are told that Jim Jake died in 1923, but the State of Texas doesn't have a death certificate for him-at a time when all deaths were supposed to be recorded. We have a picture of his funeral at Swedonia Cemetery, and on his wife Luisa's death certificate it lists her burial at Swedonia Cemetery, so we think they are buried together.

Or if someone could look up obituaries in the local newspaper it would help a lot. We have his death listed as being on June 26, 1923, but are unsure if this is correct. Luisa died March 9, 1930.

I live in Nevada and have been unable to get to Texas to do this myself, so I would be very grateful if someone could help me out on this.

Thanks so much,

Kate Hinton-Burnette
