Arline:

Thanks so much for your inquiry. I have been researching the Braddock family in Texas for many years. My g-g-g-grandfather, Asa Harrison Braddock and his wife, Nancy Seay, moved to central Texas in the mid 1800's and settled in and around Fayette County. One of their daughters was Martha Braddock. She married Columbus Franklin "Lum" Dement on December 12, 1866 in Fayette County. Columbus was born September 13, 1844 in Desoto County, TX. I have only limited information about the descendants of Columbus and Martha, but I have the names of 4 children: Jenny (born abt 1872), James (born abt 1874), Mollie (born abt 1875), and Samuel (born abt 1878). All reportedly were born in Texas.

If you have additional information on the Dement/Braddock line, I would love to have it. You can access any of the information in my Braddock file by visiting my home page.
Simply click below, then scroll down to the file for Descendants of Asa H. Braddock. I hope to hear back from you.
