I know about those notes, I have two bushel baskets full. Never know when a piece of information becomes important. I have a copy of Key and Allied Families. It says Amy Key, daughter of Wm and Sarah Woods Key, born Jan. 16, 1846 m. Thomas Gates. Had five children: Florence, Addie, Nancy,Zona and Frank Gates. Anything sound familiar here?? Amy Key was daughter of Wm. Key Jr. born in Surry Co. N.C. in 1815, died 1888, in Georgia. He married Polly (Sarah) Woods and had: Burrell Key (Texas), Henry, Sabra, Alpus, Amey, Patsey, Fannnie, Wm. R. , and Nancy Jane Key. Most went to Texas..........

James Key
