I have some bits of information for the Kerrs of TX. According to Scott Bumgardner,
Alfred Benjamin Fontaine Kerr was b. Jan. 1, 1822, Giles Co., TN the son of Hugh Kerr and Lucy Thomson.

Alfred B. F. Kerr married Susan Clayton Steele.

I have the names of his siblings if you want them and a little background on the parents.

The Kerr family was very much intertwined with my HILL family. Several of the Kerrs and Hills married. Alfred's siblings, George Alexander Kerr married Serena Pinckney Hill, William Penn Kerr married Louisiana Elizabeth Hill, Jane Hallowell Kerr married James Monroe Hill.

These two families apparently were long time friends. (Gay Hill, TX was named for my gggrandfather, Wm. Carroll Andrew Jackson Hill and his friend Mr. Thomas Gay) I am happy to share what I have on these families.
