Dottie,

Have you run across a Rachel Van Dyke married to a Joseph Shaw? Their son was named Peter Van Dyke Shaw, married to Mary Ann Hill. Joseph came to LaGrange, with Peter, in 1829 or so. I am thinking that perhaps Rachel and Amanda were sisters? Stretching it, I know, but I have found no information on Rachel.
