Was this Dr. White in Van Vandt in 1860? I have found two other men named Midas White besides my Mitis White gg grandfather who was listed as a druggist and clerk in the 1860 Census. One of them is a well known Cherokee Dr. who was born in the late 1700's. The other is a younger man than my gg grandfather. He is buried in Van Vandt county. Can be found on Find a Grave.

This man Mites White buried in Falls county seems the only one likely to be my gg grandfather. Because of the unusual first name, Van Vandt and the medical connection I believe the three men were related.

The family of my gg grandfather in 1860 in Van Vandt consisted of wife, C.M. age 27, son J? age 10, daughter R.C. age 6 (Rachel Cordelia), daughter M.E, age 3, son C.M. age 1 and a 59 year old female, Elizabeth Young living in the home.

I would appreciate any information which links this man to the first family.
