1874 Lynching and Gunfight?

In his autobiography John wesley hardin claims that three of his ranch hands "Scrap" Taylor; Tuggle; and White were lynched in Chilton texas June 30, 1874 and that in revenge Hardin killed a man July 1, 1874. Confirmed?
