I have been trying to sort this family out for several years now and am still confused .......

D. Jackson Young and Virginia "Jenny" Maines had at least 4 children: Paul, Harvard (Harvey), LeRoy (Roy) and Sarah.

"Jack" Young is said to have been the brother of Mary Jane Young Smith, my great grandmother. She was born and married in Louisiana. She and her husband came to Montgomery County TX after the Civil War. Jack's first wife, Ann Elizabeth Lang is said to have been the daughter of Valentine Austin Lang, who was my great grandfather.

Jack and Ann had children John Austin, David, William Martin, Charles, James Adam "Addie" and Castello. William Martin and James Adam married Urech sisters.

Several descendats of Ann say she left the family when the children were very young and Jack married Jenny.

Jenny and Jack are both buried in Dry Creek Cemetery in Conroe, Montgomery Co TX. No one seems to know what happened to Ann.

I have more and will gladly share/exchange.
