Joy,
Has your family ever spelled Bybee as Bybe or Bibby? My family lived in Erath Co beginning in the 1850's, but they also had a long standing relationship with the Bibby family beginning in 1636 with William Bibby of Accomack Co., VA.
He transported my 9th great-grandfather to America in the summer of 1636. Later, descendants of my 9th GG and William Bibby moved to Franklin Co., NC. in the mid-1700's. Both families still live in Franklin Co.
