You might try finding obit for their son, survivors are often listed and you might be able to track some of them down. He's listed as a circus clown with no children, but siblings might be listed. Good way to pick up married names of female members of the family.

[Informant Mrs. Bessie Farley. Go to the 1910 census and Arthur has a sister named Bessie.]

SSDI: Farley, Bessie, b 12 Nov 1890; d 7 Mar 1981 Erath Co, TX; last residence Stephenville, Erath Co, TX; SS card issued in TX.

If you go to the Erath Co, TX GenWeb site -- -- Click on Cemeteries, find Old Dublin Cemetery and click on New Transcription & Photos by George & Elayne Pair Gibbons. You can view photos of the graves of John, wife Sarah and son Arthur. You might contact the couple working on these photos and information, let them know dates shown on the death certificates so they can add them to the site, too. Apparently date of birth for John is not on his headstone. And, he's only listed by his initials, not full name of John Mack Burson. Plus, Arthur's middle name is only shown as an initial.

Also in that cemetery is Bessie Farley and husband Ollie F. Farley. Since she died the most recent, I'd look for her obit first. Her survivors might still be alive. In 1930 Sarah is living with Bessie and Ollie.

I noticed there is a Confederate flag next to the headstone of John Mack Burson.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
