Yes, Marie McClanahan married 7/21/1898 - my fat fingers....
Her death certificate states she was divorced. The information was given by Kay H. Sessions - who I am thinking was Marie's daughter - Catherine/Katherine. More research needed on the daughter. The divorce must have happened in the 1930 time frame. Marie says she's a widow in that census. In the 1920 census, she is living in Dallas Co. and he is living in El Paso. He was a pharmacist/druggist/salesman

The "Pokahuntas" comes from her headstone. Most often it is spelled "Pocahantas" and she was called "Pokie" and "Aunt Pokie" by nephews & nieces.

I have no idea where L. B. McClanahan ended up being buried and I also believe he died about 1901 - as you do.

I think we have been in touch before - perhaps through Thelma Jones!
