HELLO VANESSA! IT'S SO GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU.
WHICH OF WILL AND EFFIE MAY'S DAUGHTERS WAS YOUR GRANDMOTHER? AND WHO WAS YOUR MOTHER OR FATHER? THERE ARE SEVERAL OF US COUSINS STILL LIVING IN TEXAS. WE HAD A SMALL REUNION SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND THERE WERE 31 PEOPLE REPRESENTING 5 GENERATIONS OF WILL AND EFFIE'S OFFSPRING.
MY FATHER WAS THEIR OLDEST SON, CHARLES LEON MORRISON AND MY MOTHER, HIS SECOND WIFE, INEZ. MY FATHER DIED IN 1952 WHEN I WAS ONLY 5, AND I GREW UP WITH A STEPFATHER. MY FATHER HAD A SON, CHARLES JR. AND A DAUGHTER, BETTY JOYCE BY HIS FIRST WIFE, AND MY SISTER DORIS AND I BY HIS SECOND WIFE. HE AND MY MOTHER WERE ONLY MARRIED 6 YEARS, BUT HE WAS THE LOVE OF HER LIFE AND SHE TOLD US MANY TIMES ABOUT WHAT A WONDERFUL MAN HE WAS. I'M ONLY SORRY THAT I HAVE SO FEW MEMORIES OF HIM.
LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING BACK FROM YOU.
PATRICIA MORRISON FIELDS
