This is a follow-up to Mary Polk's question on Winston Wade and/or Mary J Wade and Ms. Rambo's responses. Ms. Rambo thank you for the links, we (Mary Polk, my mother) and I checked them out and did find some additional information on Winston Waid/Wade. However, in our continuing search, we have not been able to find out what happened to him or his wife Mary J. They are on the 1880 federal census in Ellis Co., Texas, living with Ana Hawkins and a Mrs. Jenkins. They are nowhere to be found after the 1880 census. There was a reply, on this message board I believe, that a Winston A. Wade is buried in Corsicana, Texas. Winston A Wade is not Winston C. Wade (our relative). At this point, we are trying to find any descendents from the Hawkins family in whose household Winston and Mary J lived on the 1880 census. Much of the land in that area (around Midlothian) was occupied by the Hawkins family. Any information--personal information, church records, or possible newspaper records--would be appreciated. Please post here or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for any help.
