Powers Family in Ellis County

My wife's, ggg grandmother, Mary (Shearer) Powers was one of the earliest settlers in Peters Colony and Ellis County. She came there from Newton County, MO in 1847 with her sons Jordan and Shadrack and three daughters. One of her daughters (also Mary) married Asa Richardson Newton. Another daughter, Mahala, married William C. Berry. Her son Jordan married Susan Smith.

We've found Mary in the 1850 census and the 1860 census, but we can't find when Mary Powers died and where she is buried. Can anyone give us any leads?

Thanks,
Dave Rackowitz
Shell Knob, MO
