William and Carrie (Parks) Allen were married in Ellis Co., TX in 1878. I would like to hear from any descendants of this couple.
William born 1858 in TN., died in 1913, Tarrant Co., TX Mount Olivet Cemetery.,in Ft.Worth, TX
Carrie was born in 1863 in TX, and died in Dallas Co., TX in 1932.
She is buried in Rawlins Cemetery in Dallas Co., TX
They are my great grand parents. I have done a lot of research on this family and could trade information with anyone interested.
I believe William Addison Allen was born in Maury Co., TN to Addison Allen and Sarah D Freeland; and that he is listed as "Willie" in the 1860 census of Maury Co., TN under Adison/Adeson/Addison Allen.
He is missing from the 1870 census with same family in same county. And, I believe it is because he came to Ovilla, TX in 1870 with a wagon train lead by Captain Newton Addison Carroll leaving from Maury Co., TN..
as my great grand father's tombstone states.
Any information on the Allen's or of Captain Carroll coming to TX would be greatly apppreciated. (Family tales are that William Addison Allen lived with Captain Carroll for a while, as he was only 10-12 yrs old when he stowed away on the wagon train.
