1920 higher education?

What was available as far as higher education in Eastland County back in 1920? My grandfather was listed on the 1920 Eastland, Eastland County census as "attending school." The man was 20 years old, surely it was some sort of college he was attending. He was living with his older brother who was a lawyer in Eastland at the time.
Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks
