Johnnie Franklin Scrogum was the son of John Albert Scrogum who was the son of Lewis Wilson Scrogum who was the son of Daniel Wilson Scrogum who was the son of Daniel Scrogham who was the son of Joseph Scrogham who was the son of Joseph Scrugham who was the son of Henry Scrugham.

The father of Johnnie Franklin Scrogum was blacksmith by trade. It is said he wHeas a big man, with black hair and beard and light eyes. He married twice and had 8-9 children mostly sons. One grandson lives in Graham, Waymon Pruit.
