Thanks Betty! I had not found William in Greene County, GA - but had found Williams father and Charles L. in later years in Oglethorpe Cty, GA.

How I go about finding out "where" near Rising Star that Annie Laurie (Laura) Bryant was buried - around 1892??? I had visited once briefly - and went to 2 different cemeteries but could find nothing. I do have an old letter from her son, Charles Leonard Bryant that tells my grandmother that he was sure their mother was buried in rising Star.

I do know that her (Laura's) mother, Fannie (Findley) Jones Montgomery - married a Mr. Montgomery in that area after Moody Jones passed on. After living near rising Star they later went to McClennan County - then up toward Wichita Falls.

I keep running into dead-ends with this part of the family!
