Hello Harriet: Glad to hear from you. I didn't have the census records for Lavina for 1920. I looked into it and was surprised at what I found. By the way, the data in your posting was actually the 1910 census for Eastland Co., Texas when my grandmother Edna McClellan was 16 years old. The 1920 census in Surry County shows Thomas Marion Dabbs and his wife Annie with his mother Lavina age 78, widowed, born Alabama parents born Georgia. Also in the home were my grandparents Edna Ferguson and George A. Ferguson spelled Furgerson in the census records. Their first born,my Uncle Vernon was 2 years old. Lavina died in 1928 and is buried in the Eastland Cemetery, along with her husband. Please contact me at schooner@softcom.net would love to hear what you have on Lavina's family. No one in our Dabbs/Ferguson family knew who Lavina's parents were and after a few years of searching I found her in the home of Ashfield Johnson..I'm hoping I'm correct on this assumption.
Dee
