I would like to correspond with anyone with information on Nolens in Eastland Co., Texas. I am especially interested in William Nolen, b. abt 1806 in South Carolina according to the 1880 census of Eastland Co. He had a son, William Nolen, Jr., about 43 years old. My 2nd great-grand father was also born in South Carolina. His name was Jason Nolen, b. abt 1807 in South Carolina. I am wondering if there is a distant connection? Could these Nolens be brothers or cousins? My great-grandfather came from Lamar Co.,TX and probably past through Eastland/Stephens Co's. to settle in San Saba Co.,TX. As a side note, I have a grand uncle named Jack Speed that settled in Eastland Co. Jack was a farmer and sheep rancher.
