Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Nicki:

Don't know if it's the same James R but it's awful unlikely that there'd be two in the same county and era in Texas, don't you think?

However, I don't have much more about him than a name. I do have a contact of a descendent, though it's sometimes difficult to get a hold of her.

I can certainly put you on my contact list for info about James R.

Also, (though it may be treason on this site,) you may want to subscribe to the Craighead mailing list on rootsweb. generally, if and when I find good things, I send them to this list and all subscribers get them then.

Will send anything I find,

Alexander
