A couple of things. You should get in touch with the Javalin - the Carrizo Springs newspaper (if it is still being published.) When I was growing up at Carrizo Springs in the 40's, a man came to the door about a piece of land my father was farming. His name was English and he was missing an ear. I was told he lost the ear in a gunfight. Was that your grandfather? Also, my uncle Urie Brown married a Fanney Foster. Her mother was an English. Do you know anything about her?
