I almost forgot one of my favorite web sites which is FamilySearch, http://pilot.familysearch.org . I entered Martin Francis Brown with his death date and place and was able to find the following about him.

Martin Francis Brown, b. 21 Oct 1847, AR; married but no spouse shown, Parents=William Brown, b. TN and Elizabeth Brown, b. TN; Martin was a retired farmer. Their death and burial info was the same as yours. You can print an index of his death cert.

From that info I started searching. In 1850 Martin, his parents and siblings were living in Marrs Hill, Washington Co., AR.
Wm M., head, b. tenn? [hard to read], 28 yrs old, farmer.
Elizabeth, wife, b. Tenn?, 26.
James Brown, b. AR, 6.
Martin, b. AR, 3.
Richard, b. AR, 6/12ths.
Francis M. Watson, boarder.

In 1860 Martin's family was living in Elm Springs, Washington Co., AR.
William, b. TN, 38, farmer.
Ann, wife, b. TN, 32.
James, b. AR, 16.
Martin, b. AR, 12.
Leander, son, b. AR, 10.
Jessa, son, b. AR, 8.
Hobs, son, b. AR, 6.
Doctor, son, b. AR, 4.
Jane, b. AR, 2.

In 1880 Martin, his wife and children were living in Precinct 3, Tarrant Co., TX.
Martin, b. AR, 37, farmer, both parents born TN.
Mary B., wife, b. TN, 38.
Allice, b. TX, 13.
James H., b. AR, 10.
Charles W., b. TX, 9.
William F., b. TX, 6.
Olliver H., b. TX, 4.
Mattie M., b. TX, 2.

A Robert Brown and family were on the same Census page as Martin.

An Elizabeth Brown and three sons were next door neighbors to Martin. Martin's mother and some of his brothers.

In 1900 Martin, his daughterlaw and grandsons lived in Justice Precinct 4, Young Co., TX.
Martin F., b. AR, Oct 1848, widower, farmer, both parents b. in TN.
Susan C., daulaw, b. MO July 1870, widow, had given birth to two sons who were alive in 1900.
Joseph W., grandson, b. TX Oct 1896.
Eugene, grandson, b. TX Nov 1897.
Jeff D. Looney, boarder.

In 1910 Susan and her sons were living in Marshall Ward 3, Harrison Co., TX.
Carrie S. Brown, b. MO, 36, widow, had given birth to two chldren who were alive in 1910, proprietress boarding house.
Joe W., Brown, son, b. TX, 13.
Eugene Brown, son, b. TX, 12.

In 1920 Susan, her new husband and Eugene were living in Houston Ward 2, Harris Co., TX.
Willis L. Kilgore, head household, b. TX, 42.
Susan C. Kilgore, wife, b. MO, 44.
Eugene Brown, stepson, b. TX, 22.

Martin had a son Charles and I found him in 1920 in Berclair, Goliad Co., TX.
Charles W. Brown, b. TX, 50, both parents' born in USA, merchant general merchandise.
Mae Brown, wife, b. TX, 38.

Be sure to check this against Martin's obituary. Also be sure to order birth, marriage and death certs to ensure my work is correct. Successful Searching!
